Activities

The core activities of the cluster are our workshops which are held every second months via Teams. In each workshop, we have:

  • A keynote talk (where experts talk about their current research in UAS)
  • A student talk (where current or alumni students talk about the research they have done or are doing during their PhD, MSc IS or undergraduate programs)
  • A discussion session where professors can make announcements (e.g., research assistantships in UAS, etc.) and share ideas for projects to work together
  • A discussion session for students where we provide some study tips and information for students and discuss any issues they are interested in

As such, in these workshops we will present ongoing UAS research, talk about research opportunities and funding opportunities and announce research achievements and outcomes. Presenters can be professors, students, experts outside of AU, industry partners, and others.

We also plan to collaboratively work on funding applications, conduct research in UAS and publish papers about such collaborative research in this cluster.

In addition, we are working on providing a shared space (e.g., at MS Teams and/or via email list), where we will share relevant information related to UAS such as CFPs, relevant papers, funding opportunities, etc.
